HASINA AND MUSHARAF'S STORYView Hasina And Musharaf's Photo Essay

Hasina and Musharaf, a married couple living in Kishorganj, Bangladesh have seen their own attitudes toward the value of women dramatically changed because of their training through the BRAC's Gender Quality Action Learning program. They have now become Gender Justice Educators, and have created an action plan, prominently displayed in their home, that charts the changes in gender equality they are making in their household, their relationship, and how they care for their daughter. Now they both lead workshops in community courtyards where they discuss these issues with members of their community. As gender justice educators, they act as trust-worthy people their community can approach to discuss issues such as domestic violence and illegal practices like dowry and early marriage.
